HZE manufacture standard wet ball mills with high efficiency, low energy consumption, stability and reliability for grinding minerals of precious metals, base metals and non-metal. Discharge Types 

The ball mill has different discharge types: overflow discharge, grate discharge, center peripheral discharge and end peripheral discharge.

Parts and Components

Rotating Milling Assembly

The rotating assembly of overflow or grate ball mill is composed of a steel barrel which is welded integrally and finished after heat treatment, feed head and the discharge head. The feed head or discharge head and the trunnion is cast into one integrated part.

 

Transmission

According to the size of the ball mill, the small scale ball mill is driven by the squirrel cage motor, the medium and large scale ball mill are driven by the slip-ring motors or synchronous motors.

 

Girth Gear

The cast girth gear with strict heat treatment has good mechanical properties and long life. The large size girth gear can also be split into two half parts.

 

 

Main Bearing

Ball mills with diameters less than 3.6 meters (12 feet) are recommended to be equipped with double row self-aligning roller bearings with energy saving, convenient lubrication and reliable operation. The Babbitt bearings with dynamic and static pressure structure are used for the large scale ball mills. The main bearings are equipped with temperature sensor to realize remote monitoring.

Feeder

To match the arrangement of milling circuit, the ball mill is often equipped with the spout feeder or drum feeder. For the special condition, scoop feeder or combination feeder with scoops will be adopted.

 

Liner

The ball mill is equipped with manganese-chromium alloy casting liners as default. The wear-resistant rubber liners can also be selected according to the actual situation of grinding materials and medias.

 

Inching Driving (Barring Gear)

Medium and large scale ball mills are equipped with inching driving device (barring gear) which is convenient for replacing liners, maintenance and pre-rotating the mill before running, reducing labor intensity and ensuring safety.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Base Frame

Small and medium scale ball mills can be equipped with integral steel stands or are made into modular milling plants. Medium and large ball mills are directly fixed on the concrete foundation by high strength anchor bolts.

 

 

Lubrication System

Premium girth gear spray lubrication systems are included by the large and medium scale ball mills. The integrated lubrication system is recommended for each lubricating point of the mill to ensure timely, reliable and sufficient lubrication.

 

 

 

 

Automatic System

The supporting automation equipment of HZE includes the electronic belt scale, automatic ball feeder and overall monitoring & controlling system. Mill running is monitored and controlled to reach the best milling target and reduce consumption of energy and consumables.

According to the material conditions and product requirements, designing and manufacturing ball mill are customized to optimize the loading capacity and distribution ratio of the grinding mediums, and grinding concentration of grinding to greatly improve the operation performance.

Basing on assurance of grinding performance, saving energy, reducing the consumption of liners and grinding mediums are optimized to achieve high efficiency and good economy.

The modular ball mill and the ball mill with integral steel frame have the advantages of convenient installation and less investment in construction foundation.

The small scale ball mills can be designed into modular, portable and mobile compact milling plants according to customer requirements.

Long life liners, high-quality transmission mechanism, automatic lubrication device, perfect monitoring and automatic control system ensure excellent reliability and less maintenance work.

Applications  

The ball mill is used to grind various hardness rocks, alluvial ore, tailings, concentrates, etc. The recommended product fineness is not less than 400 mesh.
